Correction Joe...according to the article the lead motorcyclist wasn't trying to wave when he crashed, but was attempting to point out a coyote on a nearby hillside, and subsequently caused two other motorcyclist riding with him to crash too!
Thereby giving me the impression that Wile E has finally switched from trying to catch the ever elusive Roadrunner to much easier prey...slower moving and uncoordinated Harley riders. Smart move on Wile E's part, I'd say!
(...I just wonder what Acme product he used to sufficiently distract the lead rider???)

I don't understand how these guys are loosing control of their bikes. Mine tends to go straight even when I let go of the bars. I look at criters on the road side when ever there is one, and even wave at picture takers. I ride fast too, and never any problems of the bike just throwing me off.
Saturday my brother and I passed a group of harley riders still no random acting up from ole Matilda. I just don't understand whats going wrong with these guys

The must have a death-grip on their bars which they don't relax when they let go with one hand and/or the severe out-of-alignment front end and/or excessively wild vibrations immediately send them into a speed wobble. The latter is probably they reason for the death-grip

I let go with both hands and coast when it suits me. Still no horriffic crash. These guys have some kind of alignment or balance issue. Maybe one day I'll crash and die in a horrific ball of twisted metal and burning gas. Who knows?

From what I know about HD riders, I'd guess it was the Acme inflatable flasher.

Could be GB, however I'm pretty sure that that only comes as an accessory to the Acme Rocket Sled!

Letting go with both hands is better than what he did. Let go of the throttle, bike decelerates causing him to transfer weight forward and push on the left grip. Push left go left. And he wasn't looking where he was going.

Good description of the error here. I couldn't figure it out.
