I sometimes wonder whateverhappened to......a 1976 T140 I had until 1983, at which time it helped pay for some tuition & living expenses.
Hopefully it didn't end up in an old chicken coup.
You.......??

Kind of wonder what happened to my 75 GT550 triple 2 stroke. I put a ton of miles on that bike and traded it for my Norton. The 74 DT360 too that was stolen with empty engine cases.

Sheila and I saw one of my former, long-term bikes parked in front of a bar once. It looked like crap and we could tell it had been laid down at least once. While we were standing there (pissed off), the owner hobbled out of the bar on crutches, with a cast on his arm and bandages on his face and wanted to know why were were looking at his bike.
I've got to admit, there was some satisfaction to see that Black Beauty got her revenge for being mistreated.

I found it on Faceboook. Late 60's Honda CL 450 with a later 500cc motor put in. The guy I sold it to, had it on there. He obviously wrecked it. I asked him if he still had it, and he told me he had sold it. Bummer.

The 1973 Honda CB 175 T I inherited from my older brother in 81, my first parallel Twin and my first street bike, between the two of us we put over 40,000 miles on that bike. Traded it in at the local Dealer in 85 on a 84 V 45 Magna.

I occasionally wonder what ever happened to my first Britbike, a '66 BSA 650 Lightning that I bought secondhand from a private party around 1969, and which I traded in for a brand new '71 BSA Rocket 3 at Century Motorcycles in San Pedro CA...a dealership still in operation today and being run by the grandson of the original proprietor, the late Bill Cotton, the gentleman with whom I made that transaction some 40 years ago now. http://www.centurymotorcycles.net/(...nowadays they sell and service all brands of classic motorcycles, but mainly specialize in old Brit iron)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

There's an old Gary Moore song called, "Still Got the Blues". It talks about an old girlfriend that the guy still thinks about and misses. My wife once asked me if I "Still had the Blues" for any of my ex's. I said, "Yes. Gypsy. She was a 1982 Kawasaki GPz550. My first real hot-rod bike. She taught me alot and I'll always miss her. My wife said, "No, no, I meant a woman..." I said, "That's my story and I'm stickin' to it." You learn to avoid those traps.

I took a '76 GT 550 triple from Indiana to San Diego, up the Pacific Coast to BC, then zig zagged for 2 months on my way back. The Suzuki never missed a beat. Loved that bike. It could pull away from anything in 2nd gear.

My '59 Triumph Tiger. I bought it in 1970... spent a winter doing cool stuff to her then headed out... hippie Easyrider style. I wonder if it too is sitting in a barn somewhere.
Live to love, love to live.

1960 black and white T-100 Bathtub. Bought her used in 1962. First bike I ever owned.I learned to ride on her. That is a story in itself. No MSF in those days. I know, I know I'm old. I now own a black and white 09 Speedy.
