How I reckon the scam works ...
You would then receive an email (supposedly) from Paypal saying the funds had been placed in your account. Then the email would invite you to log into Paypal but the link would take you to a fake Paypal site, you would enter your log in, which would work, and you would see the funds in your (fake) Paypal account and ship the bike. Meanwhile they have now learnt your log in password and are busy cleaning out your linked bank account/credit card via your real Paypal account.
