I dunno. A friend, being a non-rider, got the bug. He's an older guy and wanted to ride. Asked if I would help him pick out a bike. Sure I said. I tried to talk him into a used, light, metric for a first timer. Nope, has to be a Hardly. Despite the ragging I gave him, he was set on a HD, so I went with him to the Harley Clothing store and picked out a sporster with middies, used, nice looking (not abused) low miles. Fine, he likes it, but has to come back the next day as it is Sunday and no sales people on duty. I told him he could do that on his own because I'm not much of a money guy. Next day he goes in, they sell him on a Road King. Had it delivered to the house and was scared to death of it. Long story shortened a bit is that he called them back and had it traded "up" for a Tri-Glide. Still hasn't driven that one much. Matter of fact his wife was the first one to take it out because it sat in the garage for the first week.

So-light and powerful, or a 1/2 ton and moveable load for your first bike?
