Richard I agree with you and Larry, but there are plenty of actors who lived their lives with esteem and "machismo" Gary Cooper comes to mind.

I'm surprised not to see Chuck Yeager or John Glenn mentioned, both lives well lived.

Others I admire: Teddy Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Douglas Mac Aurthur, Milton Friedman, Reagan, Both Bushes. The list could go on and on. But, the man I admire most is my father, a lifer fighter pilot, and his comrades I have been blessed to know. They were bad ass, but gentlemen.
