One of my all time heroes was Robert Edison Fulton Jr. He rode from London to Tokyo in 1931 or 1932 (yes, that far back!) on a twin cylinder Douglas. He then wrote the book One Man Caravan.
He was also an inventor of several wonderful contraptions.
Both ballsy and creative (brains).
