SO the bikes running like a dream with the new 904 kit but since the rebuild I have the 2 following issues.

1) The datatool alarm, arms and disarms fine, auto arms fine, but once armed it goes off after a minute, if I let it arm or arm myself then press the no motion (ferry) mode button its all OK.

2) The rev meter now works ok until I start working the bike, then about 6k rpm it drops to zero then flicks back up.

Anyone got some pointers? The alarm was run down completely while the BB Kit was installed but is working OK but not in the normal armed mode.

Thanks,

I'd check the ground wire down near the rear wheel. They're on there pretty good, but you never know. I like the easy stuff first, but have a feeling that won't help.

CTRL and + will enlarge the picture. CTRL and - shrinks it back.

I see one connection of curiosity - alarm control unit port 1 eventually connects to the carb heaters and tach wiring and other stuff. I wonder if a carb heater wire...?

That whole alarm with 12 grounds thing goes way over my head. Hopefully somebody with a better view will jump in soon.

maybe datatool can help http://www.datatool.co.uk/consumer/support/

I would be MORE than happy to lose the alarm.

Trouble is its tied into the loom.... might cut it out and take the chance.

I almost suggested that. I suppose they're effective if parked under the bedroom window...
Gotta be someone here who has done it.
