Only four of us showed up at the Buzz Inn. On the way, i discovered the Redmond Roundabout madness. Even with a late start, a more backroads route, stop for gas and a quick bite at a McD's, I still got there on time.

Z, Karen & Bob greeted me at the Buzz Inn where we reminisced a bit. After getting some much needed sun, we decided to head out on Z's itinerary.
As usual, Z picked a great route with some beautiful scenery, nice twisties and places where we could twist the throttle a little. We set out with Z in front, followed by karen, myself and Rocket Bob keeping an eye on us all. Z bought his GoPro camera (damn that thing is tiny!!) and shot video with the camera facing forwards and backwards. He ran out of memory but hopefully he got some good stuff.

Along the way, I tangled with some big wasp, or something, that landed right on my lid's visor, as we went through some S curves. This made that set of turns "interesting" for me and I'm sure Bob was thinking, "damn not again!". Fortunately, nothing serious happened and we head on to a beautiful scenic stop in Carnation. Z, however, encountered another bug on the way. I doubt it was a wasp, it was greenish-yellow and left a big ol'splat right in his line of site on his visor.

After some picture taking at the stop and Z cleaning his visor, we headed on to Redmond the pub. Turns out Gordie and Andy were waiting for us there. I haven't seen Gordie or his bike since before my accident 3 years ago. It looks like he took down a big ol'yak or wooly mammoth and it's hide now covers the seat of his bike. However, I'm a little worried about Z riding around with part of the penis bone of a sting ray pushing on his ass. I hope this is NOT the reason why he likes to ride...

Fish and his buddy showed up a little later.
We all enjoyed some good food, a few tales and more laughs. It was good to get to see the gang again.

Bob, Z and Karen took pics. I didn't bring my camera.

Temps were in the low 70's. Blue sky, no clouds and lots of bikes everywhere. It was a great day and an excellent ride. I'm hoping the weather next weekend is just as good.
