Well, its a little later than normal but it has been a wet/frozen season so I have hesitated in even panning this till now. History of the NW MnG:This will be the 4th annual NW Meet n Greet. This started a few years ago at a Starbucks in Issaquah where a few unruly Triumph riders gathered. It started as a peaceful event until one rider arrived with a Tiki themed helmet (we knew he was trouble). Following shortly was a surly hulking Scottish gent that quickly put us at ease with his Shrek imitations (he hasn't stopped yet). This was also the last time anyone ever saw that many blue/cream Triumphs in one location, ever! The bottom line it was great to meet some fellow and somewhat local Triumph riders, kick off the riding season and make some friends! The details:*** this is all based on weather, if its raining the event is off but I will update this thread as we get closer to the event. *** The idea is that we meet up in Buzz Inn Snohomish (why break tradition!) then take a ride down to the Three Lions Pub in Redmond for the St Georges Day celebration. The ride should take approx 1 hour. The Three Lions Pub has some great British appetizers and an attached restaurant. If your so inclined there are of course adult libations. Meet at Buzz Inn at noon-noon:30 Head down to the Three Lions Pub, arrive approx 1:30-2:00 Hang out and have fun! Depart on your own schedule.

Ah yes, the infamous Tiki-cammo helmet. Hopefully he still follows the board and can attend (I think he finally ditched the lid). As I recall he was getting married and had an ankle-biter on the way. I'll try to attend. I think I am still in town then. Although, I'm still a little superstitious. Last time I rode with some fellow Triumph riders did not turn out too well for me and my shoulder. I may follow behind and putt along at my own pace. I'm being a little more cautious these days. That would be great if Gordie can make it down. It would be good to catch up with you and Karen as well. I saw Bob in Tacoma last year, finally got to admire the Rocket. Pray for sun!!

Hey Kirk!! Good to see you hear again.
Yes, I remember you ditched the camo-tiki lid. I assume it was disposed of in the proper haz waste container and is now buried out at Hanford, never to see daylight (or another noggin) again !!
Congrats on the ankle biter !!
Hopefully there will be good weather that weekend.

I will have to play this by ear. It's the same day as my daughter's prom, but the main thing I'm concerned with is being around when her date shows up. Gotta make sure he's properly intimidated, er, made aware of how he is to manage himself around my daughter. Actually, her boyfriend is a pretty good kid. I really just want to make sure I get pics of them heading off to dinner/dancing. I don't think they are leaving until 6pm or so... should give me some time to ride. Now if only the weather will cooperate...

You can always be sitting there cleaning your 44 mag. when he shows up and ask him what time he will have her home? My brother did that and the boy had her home at 11:30 PM!
I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I was going.

You can easily make it home in time for that. We usually get together, BS, eat, BS, and then head out. This is the first year Im throwing a short ride into the mix. It really is a Meet n Greet more than a rally.

With the great forecast, I am trying to plot a path there without taking 405. I don't have a fancy "rain seeking" GPS like Z. Looks like route 900 (from Renton) up to East Lake Sammamish Pkwy to over to route 202. Somehow get on Rt. 522 and find Rt 9 north and right on Lower Snohomish River road to the Buzz Inn. This looks like a long ride from Kent. Hope it's not too cold in the AM. Come on sunshine!!

Sure, but be warned. I'm slow and cautious, more so since my accident 3 years ago. I ride at a pace that I am comfortable with. I'm doing this as a prep for the rendezvous down south in early May.
I don't mind the company but I am avoiding 405 as much as I can. I think I have a route up to the Buzz Inn, but I expect it will take time. Maybe we can meet at the Winco, off 167, at 9:15 -ish? From there, I plan to jump on 167 to 405, then get off and head to Rt 900, take back roads up. Hopefully get there by noon and before Z & gang push off back to Redmond.

Not a problem, Conwy. I like riding back roads and am perfectly fine with slow and cautious. Hopefully the weather down here in Florida will follow me home.

Bob, I'm intending to avoid 405 except to get to exit 5. After that, I plan to take backroads and slowly get up to Snohomish. Of course, you're more than welcome to join us if you want to get up early. If I recall, you have one of those GPS gizmos as well.
Fish, if you prefer to take the quick route with Bob, that's OK too. Let's just finalize by Friday afternoon/early evening.

Since I am going to the Lunch in Chehalis, I've been asked by the wife to stay home this weekend. That way it can rain on me all next weekend. Have fun without me.

Z, OK, I told Vena and even invited her to join this forum. We need more cool ladies who ride Triumphs here, even if she is a dealer. Their shop seems to really care about the rider and not just trying to push product. And their shop guy (Lonny I think is his name) is great !
Like I said, I'm coming up the back roads. Hopefully to get there by noon, if not earlier. Don't take off from Buzz Inn until I get there please. I've got your cell phone number in my mobile phone (number ending 2154). I'll try not to pull another "Whidby Island" on y'all!

Sorry you won't be here. Z always picks a good ride route.
And the weather forecast is still holding up (and looking even better). Bright sun and blue skies with temps about 64 deg F. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow.

It's supposed to rain here tomorrow, I'll be spending part of the day working on a friends Suzuki Marauder. He wants me to see what I can do about the fact that it runs like a turtle in peanut butter, I told him to trade it to a Triumph but he wants to try pipes and a jet kit first
Outside a dog a book is a mans best friend, inside a dog it's to dark to read.
