Ive bought some different mouth organ-ish style tank badges with rubbers, but when i went to put them on today I see the badges are secured by two star shaped screws but there is a raise 'nipple' in the middle, so muy various tools dont do the job, is there a special tool to metod to removing these - can they be re-used once removed?
cheers Simon
It may not be possible to polish a turd, but you could always roll it in glitter

You need security bits readily available at a place that sells tools. They are a normal star bit with a hole in the center for that little post in the middle. Other than that they are normal reusable screws.

You need a Torq security key. I think the size is T27

You are right Keith, where did I get T27 from.
If I remember rightly it was you that gave me the T25 size when I changed mine.

Frank must of had the sun in his eyes when he checked that Torx bit. A lot of sun in your eyes and warm temperatures have been know to cause blindness in Aussies as well as impaired judgement..... We should know....he communicates with us

Might have had the sun in my eyes, but that was inbetween thunderstorms.
If the amount of rain we have had was turned into snow it would be 10 metres deep.
