I've seen Levis at the stores that look like they were dragged behind a bike for weeks. But they sell for more money then the new Levis. So, do you have to pay more for used patches?

I'm with Friar John and the other gents on this one: I dont give a RAT's a%* what some other guy is wearing or not or where he got his stuff. I'm not in the business of being a fashion critic.

Probably, but I wouldn't know. I prefer to let things age naturally.
Did I mention that this is no ordinary denim jacket? It has kevlar woven in the material. So, yes it is safer than regular denim and I will be wearing it to ride when it starts to warm up outside.
Plus, yes, it is a maltese cross. Notice that each "arm" of the cross is curved inward, creating eight points. There are many variations of the maltese cross. Most fire departments use a maltese cross as their symbol, but doesnt resemble at all the original maltese cross.
The patches I have on the sleeves are the BA.com patch (been a member for a couple years), TRAP (Triumph Riders of Portland) and '04 and '05 RAT patches. I have an '06 RAT patch, but haven't decided where to put it yet, since it is completely different than the '04 and '5 RAt patches.
In the last year I have logged over 7000 miles on Speedmaster in the last year, which is not bad considering that I live in the Pacific North-Wet. So, I think I have earned the Triumph patches.
I hate poseurs just as much as most people. I have never been one and never will be one. Either do it (be it) for real or forget it. However, part of that is finding your own individuality and not following the crowd and doing things because everyone else does. I tend to do things a little bit different. But, then again, I still have some of that punk rock attitude that I had in the 80's.

This jacket is what I wanted, so it is what I did. It is kind of very cool knowing that patch is the only one of its kind on the planet. It is designed after the original Union Jack Maltese Cross I designed for the shirts and stuff I have on my web site. Soren

I like it, but do I count. Probably not. But like you said, I've never seen a patch like it. Wear it proud!

Hey FJ! How the hell did YOU KNOW THAT! I didn't think I EVER told ANYBODY about THAT particular INCIDENT!!!
But my(tongue-in-cheek) point was that sometimes people can and DO get carried away with this SYMBOLISM business and take such things to an extreme seriousness.
Now, being the loquacious sort, I'm usually more interested in striking up a conversation with another and then sizing up that individual, and not determining their character based on their garb or the quick and easy symbolism that they may represent to the world.
I mean, I'm almost sure that even a FEW GUYS out there wearing HARLEY T-SHIRTS could be okay fellas...RIGHT?

tatkin, I buy all my patches off the shelf. I don't earn any of them. I don't even ride a motorcicle, except for around the block.

Yes. Why, only last week I was burning a flag at the local "Young Repubilcans" convention, and imagine my surprise when the folks from the NRA whipped out their pistols...
