I was asked to judge a singing talent contest. The fellow sold it like "American Idol". So last night I judged a karaoke contest (wierd). It was fun, and there were some talented singers. There were some that were well not so talented (I give em props for guts).
The woman who came in 1st deserved it she was very talented, but the Woman that came in second only got there because she was the pretty one. She did a good job of the 1st song, but completely blew the second song. I left a bit irritated over it because the prizes are big including some recording time. She didn't deserve that spot she should have been 4th at best. If it were a beauty contest she would have been first but it was supposed to be about singing ability.
Oh, well just a rant to blow off some steam.
