Just got a call from the Adjuster.. and the shop estimate to repair my 07 speedy from it's 03-01 kissing of the RR crossing is around $7500. triumph parts are sooooo expensive .the value of my machine is somewhere just under $5K .. per GEICO.. so they are totaling her.. I have to get my toolbag and anybits i want off.. damn damn DAMN it..
can allways find another once the shoulder heals and the docs reattatch the ligiment.. damn..

can you buy it back I bought mine back for 125 bucks. 6000 in damages only cost me 3000 to do myself and I did allot of small custom stuff in the proses.

I bought mine back AND had it back on the road for less than $1000.00
Of course it's not shiny any more...
I have a grade 3 AC separation in my shoulder. Don't know if you have the same injury but the doctors told me they only try to repair that for pro athletes. The success rate is pretty low. I have a somewhat deformed shoulder but there's not really any other problems from it. Good luck with all that!

the scapula is broken but NOT displaced.. so one month to heal in sling.. then the CA.ligament .. on top.. flopping .. needs reattatched.. that all i know there.
the frame and engine not NOT hurt.. front end is questionable.. some tweaking .. and riser pulled..
footboard took most of the damage.. we see.. how bad ..its possible if possible to get her .. but cant ride for awhile anyway.. need small truck or car for now.. down to nothing in the drivewayyy ..

about a grand difference if i keep her... w/ my busted shoulder and nothing in the driveway .. think i'm gonna let them have her... damn it all... time to heal,, and really need a decent cage... right now.. the insurance paying allmost what I got in her ... maybe a little later i can get something.. easier on the back.. butt.. lol ..

Take the insurance payoff, buy back the pieces for peanuts on the dollar. Buy a used bike to ride and start to work on your newly built custom Triumph. The more broken bits are more opportunity to "go your own way".

I'm done ... the gecko got the remains.. I thought a grand was too much... took the payoff.. found a low miles 91 S10 chevy w/ automatic trans and am going to have to live off of the differance untill I get put back together and go back to work part time.. looks like 3months anyway...

In November of 2007 I went head over a$$ on my mountain bike. Hit elbows first and pistoned both humerus bones through the AC joints breaking both AC joints and severing all the major tendons in both rotator cuffs as well as a Type II SLAP tears of both labrums. It took all the kings horses and most of his men but a year plus later I was back on mountain bikes and motorcycles. Take your physical therapy VERY seriously. Train like you have a triathalon ahead of you and it's amazing what you can do.
Best of luck getting back on your feet. Bikes can be replaced (for the most part).

its a sad day when you have to lose a bike that way, its like losing part of your family,

Sorry they totaled your bike. Stay in the pickup for a while and heal up and you'll be back on a bike in no time.

heres the latest.. I behaved. healed the broken scapula well on the way.. go back to the V.A. and the doc now says .. go swimming.. he cut me loose.. says they are not going to do the surgury to reattatch the AC ligament .. I dont understand.. can't be a miracle ! I do believe! ..but the knot on my shoulder is the torn off ligament so i know it didnt attatch it self .?? im confused..Obama ..Government just out of money..Budget cuts..any ideas ??
I am working to get things going w/ the arm/shoulder but I find it hard to believe, but I will find a workaround ..anybody been there before..is the CA ligament in my case not needed for daily living .. nevermind work.. am I looking at a month or six ? ..

my 68 N15 C/S will come back together this year pray..
but she's been on hold for too long.. now 5yrs ...
need to heal .. figure out how to survive .. the everyday happy stuff.. only a set of crank bolts ..rod bolts and rod bearings to go .. w/ the shop work, turning the crank..
( she looks standard ) but will clean it up and a cylinder bore to .030 ..then she will be ready to put back together new new new .... 750 atlas .. kicker only .. she is a beasty! ..but thats later .. or much later. now i'm just not sure whats next ...

got the results from my rest and bone healing time and the shoulder blade looks good.. rib doing what ribs do.. lol
now the before discussed CA ligament surgury is not needed and I dont understand.. budget cuts.. Dont know ..dont understand.. told me to go swimming and i am.. did will.. hurts like heck .. getting better .lol ..slowly .. Im a parts pro . was .. any idea how long something like this takes .. 1 month .. 6 ? .. doc said the knot will allways be there . doesnt matter to me. its the torn off CA .. guess I dont need it.

That's funny ... actually i shoot (and carry) 45acp pistol now and again... as i have the time.. I use progressivly heavier pistols to work out both arms.. hehehehehee...
