Yeah, it's fun to do a little Harldly bashin, just in good fun. But that won't address your friend. You can't prod a man to be an individual. The nature of man is to conform, the majority find comfort in it. Most live in plain ole houses or apartments, designed for the masses, never dreaming of anything different. Their car is whatever everybody else finds acceptable to their peer group. They buy a hardley cause it makes them fit in. After all, most everybody talks the Hardly talk. (But, there are some who genuinely enjoy the machine, more power to them.) Triumph's are a lure to a slightly different kind of cat. Individuality is most important, with beauty and form of function combined in one machine slightly second. Don't bother to try and talk your friend out of his potato popper. He won't be happy standing out in the crowd and he'll just horn in on the attention you get from your bike and your individual attitude.
