It’s just a phase he’s going through
As a good friend, why not tell him you’ll always be around to help him pick up the pieces(and that he can find these in the oil pump on a twin cam…or in my case as a rather pretty metallic soup when draining the gearbox-sorry-transmission)
If he’s thinking about a sporty remind him that since they deleted the tranny trap in ’04 he’ll have to do a complete crankcase strip to fix the gearbox-sorry-transmission- when it goes.
Seriously, just point him in the direction of any of the HD owners technical sites so’s he can see what he’ll b taking on.
