if you have ridden on the roads in western sonoma co up through mendocino and lake co cal. then you know how nice a little suspension is as some of the roads are like riding off road. 
If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.

How many bottles of wine can you get in those bags?

each bag will hold a 18 pack of beer plus enough ice to keep it cold.  or 6 bottles of wine with padding. i call it the mule....nothing fancy just gets the job done. i have replaced the tank in the pic with a military tank that holds almost 7g of gas. it goes about 350mi between fill ups

Just a note of precaution... On an ol' Motogoose, with hard bags.. drill holes in the bottom to let Ice water drain off. Well, a "friendly" policeman stopped me to let me know I was leaking and wanted to help. Upon looking in the bags ande saw a half case of Bud in each side, was happy (and SO WAS I) that there were no empties. He just advised me to enjoy when "I stopped for the night". 
I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I was going.

that already happened when i was riding my dr650. i had a 12 of sierra nevada bungied to my rack. he pulled me over for 40 in a 25, gave me a lecture about slowing down, tapped the 12 and said "good beer-slow down" and let me go.
If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.
