I think that the face of our industry is changing. My friend Chuck races an old Mopar at New England dragway in NH. He was telling me about tuning in the pits next to a kid in his 20's. Chuck had a timing light and the kid had a laptop, Chuck looked over and gave the kid the thumbs-up. There is a universal love afair with things mechanical which is inheirent, (remember when your parents bought you a bicycle and you took it apart before you rode it). It also crosses cultural boundaries. I always make sure I check out the awesome work the Hispanic kids are doing on their low riders and pick their brains on hydraulics.
The kids doing it today are underground and listening to old farts sayin' what's the matter with these kids today just like us and our dads. Maybe nothing's changed after all.
