Just wondering how many readers have gone the road of getting inked and if so have you ever got a Triumph related tattoo?

Nah mountainman just curious as to how many members have. Seen some bad ink around my way including a lot of my relatives but in the 52 years I've been on this planet, the only ink I have ever had is if I've jotted a phone number onto the back of my hand. Mobile phones have solved that issue as well.

I have no Triumph body art. Actually, it's been 10 years since my last visit to the tattoo shop, I guess I'm due for some more, don't know what I want yet though

No ink of any kind, period. First it's ink, then it's pirate chaps and a do-rag. You don't want to go down that road. It's easier just to get a t-shirt.

Juarez Mexico, 1966 while serving in the Army at Ft. Bliss, I got an eagle on my right forearm. Would I do it again?? NO! Upside: It's the only thing I ever got for $5 that I still have !!!!

Well.... a Cavalry tattoo of crossed sabres from my old outfit and my wifes name with an "ink" ring attaching her to my flesh..... yes I know, the ring should be in my nose but it is hidden where only she would see More ink ? no , was it smart to do ? it seemed right at the time. Any regrets ? well, it's too late now...!

I have one tat on my arm but I would never do it again. I have to admit I've thought about it but then I come to my senses and realize it's just not that important to me to spend the money and go through the needling. I thought it kinda hurt but I was hungover when I got my first one.

8 tats and counting. Started with a bunch of buddies all getting our nicknames @ 19yrs old. Got addicted. All of them mean something or represent a period of my life. Don't regret any of them. They can all be hidden by pants and a short sleeve shirt due to the fact that I work a professional job and some of the "establishment" still look down on tats.

Don't have a Harley, so - NO ink. Seems like a trip to Sturgis requires that, but... Have never seen a design that turned my crank enough to go for it.
I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I was going.

As a sailor, had to get a tat at Pinky's in Hong Kong. Wasn't a bike thing. Only one I have, probably the only one I'll ever have. Shoulder mounted.

Never been to Pinkys in Hong Kong (I've been a deprived East Coast Sailor so I only get to go to the Sand Box) 18 years and counting , still "ink free"...I helps that I am indecisive.

I have three tats, the last one I acquired during a dive trip to Bora Bora. It was a relatively painful one to get but it helped to think about the humpback whale I had just been diving with to take my mind off the pain!

Yes it is quite beautiful, though I can't say it's MY favourite place in the world because there's too many other places in the world that I haven't been to yet.

1 tat. One-off bike related, I've even got the original and only drawing which was done (and signed) by someone who I believe is now well known in the art world. Not Triumph related, but then, I don't even have a Triumph T-shirt

No Triumph tats or other motorcycle related ones, but I have 7, the only ones that can be seen are around my ankles and one foot. Others are all hidden. Husband has a 3/4 sleeve, Army Ranger Tab, and a few others. He's also a professional, but they don't say a word and yes he does wear short sleeves. My 25 yr old son is covered, not his face, neck or hands, but most everywhere else. He works on the North Slope in Alaska as a mechanic. To each his own. I also have 8 earrings in one ear and 6 in the other. My husband loves it all and that's what counts. My granddaughter always wants to see the puppy print on my thigh and then tells me what the dogs name is.

Maybe time for a piercing? Just Kidding!
Saw a guy with a row of chrome spikes coming out of his skull on Saturday (Daytona Bch, if that helps explain it).

Nope, not a one. The closest I ever came was after my young son passed away(20 years ago now). My younger brother (who has 4-5) tats got a heart with my son's name in it on his chest... I got so far as talking to an ink guy about it; and then changed my mind. I appreciate the thought my brother put into it and still wonder from time to time if I should have done it. I plan to go out the way I came in... save a couple of scars I have picked up along the way.

One of our original forum members had a real nice "100 year logo" tattoo on his arm. I always liked that design.

No tats here either, never wanted one. I even split and apartment with a tatoo artist for a while and he owed me one. I never collected , can't now, he was murdered.

plenty of ink (its a hobby of sorts) and one triumph 'patent plate' on my right arm just below the parallel pistons (refer to my avavtar)
seems like there was a very similar thread a few years back.

My late brother was a Triumph nut. Funny thing is that I got him into it when I built a '72 chopper for him years ago. He talked about getting the patent plate inked. He and I were identical twins, so if he did it I'd have done it also. I often think about doing his name and the plate right underneath on my right bicep, It's gonna happen.

I don't have any tats because I could never figure out something I'd want to have on my body forever. I'm a fickle git. But that comes pretty dang close to something I could keep, the design if not the location.
