Not sure if this is the answer to my problem yet, but would it be possible to make a brass twisted one with about 1/4 inch more thread on either side?
I just installed a heel toe shift and I have the rod adjusted to where it's out as much as it can go on the shifter side and the toe is still lower than the heel I'd like to have them about even if not the heel a tad lower than the toe.
Still gotta measure to be sure, but I think a 1/4 inch or so would fix me up.
Thanks, Brian
As a remedial fix, buy (under $10 delivered) a R.H. 6x1 mm coupling nut and a short 6x1 mm threaded stud (McMaster-Carr), you will be able to slightly lengthen your shift rod to a suitable adaptation. The mod. will be mostly hidden as the R.H. twist end is forward and, for the most part under your peg. And I will order some brass stock for you and get your particulars when I'm done seeing America.
