It was a balmy -35 at my place today. The snow is up to your waist and still keeps coming. Against my better judgement I agreed to help out with a project in Northern Alberta, the snow and temps are stupid. We went from rain for 3 days to -45 with a 20 mile an hour wind. Human beings should not have to put up with this crap. I jumped off the Snow Cat which was making a road for us to relieve myself and went up to my arm pits in snow. The Snow Cat driver was a women but from that point on all bodily functions took place from the track of the Snow Cat. it is so much fun to be a Canadian in Alberta. I guess that's the price we have to pay to keep the oil flowing so we all have gas to burn in our Triumphs.

That reminds me of the first trip I took up to paradise, michigan in the winter. My bud and I went for our first ride on the sleds.. When it came time for a nature call I hopped off the trail and sunk to my waist. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.. Needless to say I had to work my way around and out before I could finish my duties. (o; V.

Keith thanx for the comment. The cold weather gives me time to work on this thing, which never seems to end if you want it to be competitive.

A guy in the UK is bulding me a set of reed valve cylinders but unfortunately he has fell to the demon cancer. I talk with him quite often to see how he is doing. Great guy bad disease. The old H2 will be approx 150 HP with the new jugs. It is fast now and with the new parts it will be stupid. Plus it is on Nitrous.

Z mid to high 9's with my fat ass on it and low 9's with my son, daughter or nephew. It will out run my kid's slightly modified ZX14 in a good run. I am also interested in the wares that you are selling. I have the Kellerman lights from Brent and I think they would look good with your mounts. I've seen your mounts and they look great. My only problem is that our plates are a different size but I have already cut mine down.
Best to you Pal

Thanks Kit for braving the harsh element to keep the life blood of our fun flowing.
I am sorry to hear your friend is wrestling the demon.
Good luck, with that beast of a bike. 150 ponies is not childs play on a bike.

Hey Kit,

Isn't -45dC like -49dF? My temp converter freezes up after -10dC Do you wear mittens with the cord that runs up one sleeve and down the other? I heard somewhere that a clutch cable works in a pinch

Keep warm my friend.

John it's funny you mention the mitt string thing. My girl stopped by last night and was whining about loosing her expensive leather gloves. I told her that if she had put them on a string thru her coat like we did when she was a kid lost gloves would be a non issue. Good dig about the clutch cable I'm still in your debt for helping me out. You rode behind me that day after my mechanical failure and I'm sure you noticed that I can still navigate quite well without using my clutch.

Trust me, Kit, you'll never hear the end of the clutch cable. Ask me how I know...

God help me if I have another failure when you Buggers are around. I'm sure it will happen and I will have to eat crow for the rest of my life.

Well at least you haven't run out of gas or killed your battery waiting at a border crossing (or gotten lost using a GPS or wrecked due to a diabetic episode). We've all done something "regrettable."

Hey Friar it looks like I will be able to make it to Nelson after all. My company is selling off my part of thier business and I'm hoping to get a golden hand shake. Nelson was not great for me last year, my girl wrote off her little Kawi, my boy got his bike backed over by a car not to mention getting a speeding ticket at 140 mph with a passenger and his friend smashed up his hot rod Honda crotch rocket. I got completely screwed by the insurance company with my girls bike. It was a 2006 with only about 2000 miles on it and in perfect condition. I had to fight with the insurance company just to get a reasonably fair settlement.

Keith the cheater bars (wheelie bars) are what make it possible to keep this thing upright. It is a handful when you pull the trigger. I have another one that is stock framed but the engine is messaged quite a bite. It is way harder to ride than the Drag bike.

Jeez, dude, that sounded like a country song... sorry to hear it.

Glad you're coming to Nelson, though.
