I started riding at 18 which was 37 years ago. At 21 I criss crossed the US for 3 months on a Suzuki GT 550 which, at the time, was considered a mid sized bike. Seemed plenty big enough at the time. After college I tried a normal job and was bored to near insanity. I quickly found myself in Pensacola, FL training to be a naval officer and aviator. My flying days ended with an altitude related injury to my ears. I moved to Colorado and met the love of my life (who took up riding a couple years ago). We've been married 25 years. We moved to Western North Carolina after our wedding. I went back to school and became a paramedic. We had three kids. After a little too close a look at the darker side of life I again went back to school and became a speech pathologist. I work with hearing impaired children using cochlear implants. My own kids are nearly grown. Two in college and one recently graduated. My beautiful wife and I are semi retired but running out of money. I live in a log cabin on the side of a mountain. The Blue Ridge Parkway is four miles from the end of my driveway. Every road in every direction is amazing. I ride a Bonneville America and my wife rides a VFR. Life is good.
