Could some one post a photo of what a K&N air filter kit with air box removed looks like installed on a BA. thanks

Here's the left side. I removed the side cover too, some guys didn't... Here's the right. Hard to see because it's almost stock, but you can see the filter thru the cheese grater.

Nah I don't hear a sucking anymore, but that's probly cause of the pipes

Call me a dumbass, but that's not a Freak, right? How did that work? Was it just installing K&Ns at the back of each carb? And you thought there was no such thing as a dumb question...

That is the freak actually. What you can't see (cause of the side cover) is the internal brackets, some of which provide mounting points for said covers. The also support the carbs, but I decided to go ahead and add a carb brace.

my plans for winter is getting the filters and making a battery box out of stainless to sit in the middle of the frame tubes in front of the rear fender that way i will take of the side panel on one side and the square box which holds the battery on the other side polished it should look cool

Good idea, and make sure you connect it up at the top to the fender itself so crud doesn't get on top of the battery. The only thing is that removing the airbox removes the mounting points for the right side cover. But that and a carb brace and you're all set.
