Looks really good but I may need to redo the spacers. I used the exact same hardware I had with the stock bracket but the whole thing is considerably wider than before. I'm afraid the lights will interfere with the saddlebags. Also, the bracket is not strong enough to use the turn signal stems as bungie hooking points anymore, but I'm putting a short sissybar/luggage rack back on the bike so it shouldn't be a problem. I need to get some longer bolts for the license plate so I can use a frame with my tattered, trimmed and notched license plate.

Mounted mine today. Very nice. Pics to follow once the plate frame is on.
If it wasn't already mentioned, a 7/16" socket will fit the 11mm nuts to install the new hardware.

Ya know...I never thought of that until recently. When I do another run Im going to reduce the amount of slots and may look at a thicker/stronger material. That will be a while though... Im not even through half my last order yet.

Here are some updated pics of the arse-end of my 07SM with the laydown plate & JCW chrome LP frame. I mounted the LP to the SS bracket with SS 6mm socket head bolts, nylon locknuts, & 6mm flat washers that I had on hand. I really like the look, & from my perspective it goes really well with the Tsukayu bags. Raw SS plate: Abaft the starboard beam: Abaft the port beam: Topside: Praise be to Zmilin!

Folks, For now I have to suspend the sale of anymore of these kits.
I have had two customers report that the side tabs have cracked. The common factor is the oem signals were used and I think stock stem lenghts. This would seem to make for an unstable combo causing a lot of flex and cracking the aluminum.
I will be reaching out to all my customers soon (Sunday eve as i am not home right now to do so) making them aware and doing what is needed to make things right.
I will not be selling anymore until I can verify that the above issue will not be a problem for anyone else and all my current customers have been made happy.

So you're saying stock signals with the full stalks are the problem? Because I eliminated those. Seems solid enough.

Correct...seems that the oem housings on the oem stalks is heavy and causes a lot of flex. The closer they get to the plate the less they flex. Thats why Karens never had a problem when I tested on her bike, her stalks were shortened to 1" on each side.

Unless you were referring to the stainless one with no tabs, then no, no issue.

Folks, I just sent an email to all my customers (I think I got everyone that bought a plate kit with tabs)(no tab kits don't need to worry about anything). If you bought one and did not get an email form me please let me know so I can get you taken care of.
To current customers (short version of my email): * If you don't want a replacement I will refund the plate kit. * If you want it the new kit is a new design (no slots at the bend) and a stronger material, maybe thicker depending on results. * I will auto ship once I have the new items in my hands. Not wanting to minimize this one... I do sincerely apologize for the issue or potential issue and am working on getting this fixed ASAP.
To potential customers heres the deal: * New design, stronger material kits will be available after existing customers are taken care of. * Im not sure if there will be a pricing change yet but Im really hoping not.
