Leans more to the conservative side vs. the Speedmaster. Are they not mechanically the same except brakes?

I didn't realize that the 2011 models did away with the passenger peg brackets and mounts the peg directly to one of the frame tabs, like a lot of people here have done. Maybe they're paying attention after all. Interesting.

Is the engine tuning/mapping any different on the Speedmaster? What about the gear ratios?

Notice the quick attach windshield? Anybody get one yet? Do they fit the earlier models?

It was his grammar that was giving me a headache. Swapping "leave" for "let" would have constructed a correct sentence. Like wot I do BTW, what's that picture John? All I'm getting is a red x

I like everything but that ugly tank! I just dig the original tanks. Otherwise its still a sleek bike. I like the Mags and the one pc seat too.

+1, and ditto on the old tank. Sounds like Triumph still has a winner with this model clean up!

If that's all you like about your bike, then I would imagine any cruiser will do.

He said one of the things he likes. Actually he names two things he likes, and i'm sure there are more he didn't mention.

That guy was not very nice too our little bikes (every one has an opinion).

Is it just the way the pic was taken, or is the front end dropped making it look like it has a raked stance?

Yeah Dave, I think it's just the way the pic is taken at an angle there.
Ya know, the more I look at these new Americas, the more I like the look of that fatter front wheel/tire set up. I think it better balances the look of the bike from front to rear now.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Its a good looking bike. Fatter front tire inside a better fit front fender with a little more character to it. I like the two up seat, it has a much better profile than the old solo and pillion set up. The turn signals are not so pumpkiny, and the fronts are on the forks (very nice change). I even like the billet wheels.
Still the gas tank is flat like a biscuit that didn't rise. All in all a handsome bike otherwise.
