What, you're not coming to the Southwest Triumph Fest in Prescott, AZ, the first weekend in June? Aw...

Enjoy your trip!

Old 66 is in my back yard. Give me guess at when you may be passing through Bloomington IL and I'll see if we can't hook up. A bit north on 66 is Towanda, and it's got a great little burger bar. This is about 130 miles south of Chicago. About 40 miles north is Pontiac with another great Route 66 museum.

I will PM you my phone number. Flagstaff is right on Rt 66, or what there is left of it here!
If you decide to stay here overnight, for sure let me know, but let me know anyways, maybe I can ride a bit - my schedule is completely unpredictable that far off!

I've done that trip twice, first time we started in New Orleans, drove a car up through Graceland and to St. Louis (was supposed to meet TonyG, unfortunately that didn't work out), and bikes from St. Louis to LA. Second time we started in New York, and drove coast to coast. (NY - Cleveland - Chicago - Route 66 to LA).

Are you planning a trip to Las Vegas? We did. Both times. Man that trip from Kingman to Las Vegas was crazy hot. If you take that route, bring ALOT of water. We didn't, and I was HAPPY when we came to Hoover Dam! haha

What great a great road! Alot of fun indeed!

Hey Stewe! I'd like to ride up to Flagstaff and have a beer with you, your fellow riders and Becky, if that's okay.

(...you're gonna be there around May 22nd or 23rd, right?)

Let me know when you'll be in Las Vegas. I'd like to meet up and raise a glass with you
And the Hoover dam bypass bridge is open so the traffic should be a little better.

No, we didn't take the trip through an agency. We just booked a flight, took care of the rentals before we left and that was it. When I went out my door at home, I had only a jacket and a bottle of coca cola. Traveling light is the key...

It was a blast, and damn hard to going back to the routines coming back home. Just wanted to stay on the bike and the road.. At least for the first week back home.

Coming back from Dwight's a couple of years ago it was BAKING hot over that damn dam. Nose to tail traffic. The heat off the bike was bloody painful at times!

I almost regret not going that way to Prescott again this year. I'd love to see the finished bridge. Alas, it's not in the cards this time.

Bob...Those guys are awesome. I had to watch more videos, now I want to ride to Oklahoma, just to see them. Brilliant!

Of course I've never been known for my good taste.
