Does anyone have one of these? I just ordered one from Brent. It says "not for metal grips"

I got the 1 inch one and I am going to try it out on my kuryakins. I am thinking if I use a wide rubber band (like the kind that comes with a wrist buster) at the inside end of the grip it will provide the needed friction to work as desired. If not, well maybe I'll go back to the stock or an old school grip or sell/trade it.
