  Just wait 'til "the State" mandates they be installed on all vehicles and you get a bill in the mail based on the number of miles you drive (and a fine if you violate the rules).  We've got PrePass on the interstate that weighs trucks as they go by.  I saw "sniffers" scanning vehicles during our SuperBowl and the ships that pass across the river from my house are scanned enroute for contraband.  I can't even imagine what technology the military has. 
  Progressive Insurance offers a rate based on miles driven and braking patterns (you agree to install the equipment on the OBD lead).  GEICO has their program that relies on similar data derived from GM's OnStar.  
  We're doomed - but they say it's for our own good.
