Has anyone tried a Kuryakyn brake pedal pad and/or a shifter pad. Here's pics of two brake pedal pads...

and...

ISO shifter pad. I'd have to cut the stock shaft off the shifter level, then drill and thread a hole but I think it would look pretty good.

They look good. Do you think they'll make shifting and braking more comfortable?

They do look good Keith. Haven't you got enough projects on the back burner already?

Just not sure about the cutting and pasting part but I'm sure itd be fine if well thought out and taking your time. I'd be interested in the results though. I love the Kury stuff. Excellent quality U.S engineering.

It's a winter thing Stacka... what can I say.

It's starting to look like I might have to be the guinea pig here. I can't see it being too difficult to make those pieces work... only that I was hoping someone here had done it already. Somebody's got to be first I suppose.

Keith.....I replaced the stock shifter pegs with the Kuryakyn Retro pegs. Had to drill out the threads because the Kury mounts with a bolt.

Tried the Kuryakyn clamp on Brake Pad......didn't last....lost it going down the road.

Thanks Don... I do like the look of that shift peg... I will go looking for it on their site. Meanwhile, did you come up with anything you could have done differently on the brake pedal cover so it wouldn't have fallen off?

Not really Keith. The one I used was the first one Kury put on the market. You have to take off the stock rubber pad to get the tang mounted into the new pad. Trouble is, Triumph's tang....I think that's what you call it....is a different shape than most metric bikes out there. The two pieces wouldn't clamp down securely and the two set screw didn't have much to grab onto.I see Kury has a couple new brake pads available now. One mounts with a screw or bolt that goes into a 3/8" hole you need to drill through the stock tang. Might work.

I am going for that Retro shifter peg you mentioned. And for a brake pedal pad I'm going with this one. It slips over the tang. Once I drill a hole I'll be able to screw it on from the back. I think it will work (it's the smaller one of the two)!

Here's the installation instructions.
