As those who have been looking, Specialty Spares for the most part closed up shop secondary to the economy and other concerns. Good news, because there is interest and my incessant nagging...they will make a special run of the beloved Specialty Spares pipes. Hitch on it is this, it will require 6 people to commit to the purchases and I will be the only dealer handling it, yea I know but that is the way it goes. After we get 6 people on the list a $100 deposit will be required at that time and from that point it will take about two weeks. Price of the pipes will be $495 Shipping included and will be the same no matter what style you desire, short, long, slash cut. I have to check on the availability of the tips. I know I have a few, mostly black. Friar John already has dibs on my personal "drilled" ones if I acquiesce to his incessant pleading, so don't anyone bother to ask. So if interested let me know and I will keep a running tally on this post and keep you apprised. So any questions feel free to e-mail me: eddy@fasteddysports.com Here is a video of what the big deal is with these pipes..they are freakin awesome! Specialty Spares - Long Cannons

I'm in for short canons ceramic-coated satin black (no tips--other than your drilled ones as you say ). That's $495 total, right? Not the $100 deposit + $495? If this goes through and I get my short black canons I may be willing to part with my black billet tips, short style, tapered inside. They would look really good on chrome pipes. Or Keith could powder-coat them red. I'll be keeping my polished slotted tips. EDIT: and I wouldn't mind knowing where he gets his ceramic coating done so I can send my header pipes there so they'll match.

Eddy, I may be in (I just destroyed a set of long TORs) But I can't find anything online that lists what they have available. Definitely want slash cut, and must fit a 2010 EFI Speedy. Any additional info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi ya Drew... Eddy's got them on his website here. The pictures below are from his site, although the short cannons are not shown (but available nevertheless). SS long slash cuts SS short slash cuts SS long cannons Note the tips on the last picture. I think there are a limited number of tips in different styles available, but you'd have to confirm with Eddy about that. Tips are not necessary however.

As I'm understanding it you have the following choices and Dale will build to suit:
1. Short or long pipes 2. Slash cut or canon (straight cut) 3. Chrome or black ceramic
For example, I'm getting short black canons, but Zmilin is getting long chrome canons. I would consider posting in the Performance forum about whether or not you'll need to remap or switch to a K&N or whatever to make these work on your bike. Unfortunately there isn't quite the same wealth of knowledge available for EFI bikes as there is for carbed bikes. But I'm sure it's doable.
Oh, and hopefully you can salvage the black exhaust hangers/brackets off those TORs. You'll need them (or the ones off your stock pipes if you still have those).

Please clarify whether or not these pipes come with hangers, or if reusing old hangers is required.

Yes, this does need clarification. Dale (the manufacturer) did say something to me about mounting brackets but I'll get in touch with him again for a definitive answer.

I got mine used but I had to use my stock hangers (actually my short TOR hangers).
EDIT: FYI, I had to use a small pneumatic saw to cut one or two of the bolts. The inner nut is notorious for breaking loose and spinning when trying unbolt the hangers.

Dale emailed me about the hangers and, as Z and John said, we supply our own hangers. While emailing back and forth a couple of cool things came up... - Not sure about the slash cuts but when I asked about the cannons, Dale said we can have them any length we want between 30 and 40 inches. How cool is that? Talk about your custom pipes!!
- He found 2 more sets of tips with holes and 3 more with the slots, plus 5 set of blanks that can be machined to whatever.

I figured there was no reason the pipes couldn't be any length between the short and long versions. Dang, now I have to think about that.
I have the tips with slots and they're very cool. I always wanted the drilled style, but I'd be happy to stick with the slotted ones.

Guys sorry for the silence, I am not getting the e-mail notifications when a post comes in. Yes, you need your stock hangers. And the rest of the information is correct. Again, the $100 deposit is after we get 6 confirmed orders, at that time, then you send the $100 deposit in and in a couple weeks, as long as it takes the platers to get it done, we'll have some available. Please e-mail me eddy@fasteddysports.com until I get this notification sorted out. eddy Edit: Now I am getting notices.

Hey Fast Eddy- I sent you a note, but was advised to confirm with you on this thread as well that I'm in for the pipes. I'll get the measurement to you asap. I'm interested in the blacked out set... Thank you again!

With Rob that is four confirmed and one Highly likely in the wings I am waiting to hear back from. Z, Friar, Mountainman, Are1em Point of clarification. The price includes US Shipping over seas is the actual shipping minus US shipping already calculated into the price. And this does not mean that is will be all there is, just means the minimum to make a run. Anyone interested in tips, let me know to reserve you what you would like, as Keith mentioned there are a few but reserve one if you want one and I'll stick your name on it, first come first serve. eddy

Wow, I really like my slotted tips now. I'll probably sell my black extension tips. They'd look really good on some polished canons.

Guys, I'm back with this special batch of SSs... the private deal just didn't work out. Also, they were slash cuts and I really had my heart set on cannons. But ummm, Eddy's doing something real special to move this along a little quicker and even though I want to spill the beans about what that is, it would be way cooler to hear it from Eddy.

Well, here is the gig lads. I know what it's like to wait for something you want. I am going to buy the last set so we can get the ball waiting. I am waiting to hear back from Dale on the logistics on how we are going to handle the deposits and purchase in an expedient manor that serves all. Should hear back in the next couple days and will let you all know what to do. eddy

Ready to move here.
I will send a PayPal Invoice for the Non refundable deposit. (Non refundable because this goes to buying the material. I will let those who said they were in know but I am going to double check to make sure everyone is a go before I send the invoice and take your money.
Dale is calling Monday to see how long to get the material delivered and we'll nail things down and keep you apprised of all progress.

Guys e-mail me your preference, better yet, go to my site order what you want in Specialty Spares, go through the check out and when it takes you to PayPal cancel, I will get all the information I need and can track things from there.
If you want billet tips, select the from the site as well because there are most of what you would want on hand and there are some blanks to make whatever you want that may not be spun out yet.
