Her coeliac and ulcerative colitis is making her life a misery at the minute and even if she flew down to meet us, she would struggle with food. Like she just said, "it's not like it's a day out and I could pack my own sandwiches". I note with interest that the kids will be with their dad for a week during the trip too.
