Hi All, I just purchased some blue job and am amazed at both the results and the price. I therefore looked up the patent for the product and noted a couple of things; first, the product is only patented in the US, second the product is only made of 2 ingredients, aluminum oxide and walnut shell powder (see link). If any one knows where I can purchase these two items, preferably in Canada, could you please forward a link. Note: since the product is only patented in the US, the inventor only has protection for it's manufacture and use in the US.

Aluminum oxide is easily obtainable , can be found where polishes are sold , the walnut shells simply act as a vehicle/mild abrasive . You could use any gritty material , like coffee grounds or sawdust that is softer than chromium.

Ya need to watch who you're asking when you go around trying to buy things with fancy names like aluminum oxide. They'll think your wanting to set up a meth lab or something. Seriously though... interesting fact finding!!

Watch using that on your header pipes. The chrome is pretty thin, and you can actually cut thru using an abrasive like Blue Job
