I want to use this on my new bars. Does anyone know if it will work. I'm not familiar with the electric but says it must be used with switch relay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/12mm-Stai...Q5fAccessories.

Depends on what you want to control with it. It looks to be a momentary switch.....push to close the circuit. Release it to open the circuit. If you use it as starter or horn button then it would be used to energize a relay momentarily. If you want to use it as a turn signal switch then you would need a relay that latches on when you push the switch and opens when you push it again.

Uh what? I want to use it as a starter button. Do I need to add a relay?

No, you don't need a relay. Just tap into the wiring for your existing starter switch. The stock starter switch activates a relay and so it needs to be for your new push button switch.

Thank you brother, you always know where I'm coming from, even if it's outer space. I will now order the button and continue about my day. I just hope I may some day be as useful to this board as you are.

Me... are you talking 'bout me? While I appreciate the flattery, I in turn feel like a student amongst the many masters on this site.
May your buttons be pushed when and only it's the right thing to do!
