Charles, the angle of the board is a little weird, and they do mount pretty far forward, but... being forward means you can still put your foot forward close to where the pegs go, and on a long run, I can hang my foot off the back end near where a standard peg would place your foot. With the Ma's full size crash bar, I can rest my heel on the board and prop my toes on the bars to stretch out. They don't interfere at all with putting your foot down, but make it a little awkward for the vertically challenged to get the kickstand up (depends on what boots I'm wearing, I'll do the kickstand thing before I get on).
