I'll chime in. The key on these is snugging them down good (as mentioned above) as the little edges on the adapter are thin I they crush a bit to set themselves into the inside of the peg because they kind of squash out.
I do NOT recommend this for obvious reasons but I was testing them to find out how well they would perform. I have taken them off and put them on twice now but I really cinched them down when I was happy with the angle.
Now I weigh 185 and I have purposefully and carefully put a lot of weight on the heel rest to test them to see if I could make them spin and have not had them spin, or even move a little after I got them where I wanted them. When I was putting the first one on I tightened it down then stepped on it if it moved I loosened it up and put it back then tightened it down some more until it would not move and they have been fine o 6,000 miles of touring.
