Some of those places look kinda cool. Im still partial to the Holiday Inn Express hotels. Free continental breakfast at all of them but I am open to a local place.

A few of those places have rooms with three beds but none go up to four... bummer, that would have been a heck of a savings.

We have a Shilo Inn in Helena. But the one in Kanab seems pricey (and the reviews say as much). I don't mind major chains. I don't care as much for the continental breakfast. I like to find "local color" when I'm traveling. I suppose if anything I'd lean towards the BW, since I have a Harley Davidson discount card.

My Priority Club card doesn't have a Harley on it but it is Platiunum... ok not as impressive unless you see the points balance (and I DID NOT stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night).

I've only used the card once so I'm sure my points are next to nil.

Last time I was in Kanab, My Wife and I stayed at the Treasure Trail Motel. We like the funky Mom and Pop places. It was very dated but clean, and of course included a book of Mormon in every room.
They have a two bedroom for $76.00 a night. Singles for $53.00. Mostly it is pretty cheap. Treasure Trail Let me know what you think.

Uh huh Brent, and let me guess here....At the Treasure Trail Motel there's absolutely no extra roll-a-way bed charges if you can prove all the other ladies checking in with ya are your wives...RIGHT???!!!

(...what a deal, HUH?!)

Shoot man, what about the Bavarian Hilton/Plaza/Spa/Retreat I located in Radium Hot Springs on our now-epic waterlogged journey through British Columbia 6-7 years ago? It had competitive rates, a kitchenette & colour

Well John, seein' as how I'm in a guessin' mood here, I'm NOW gonna guess that that LAST "accommodation" you listed there["colour"] was imported all the way from England to Radium Hot Springs...RIGHT???!!!

(...of course, I suppose they could've ALSO just slipped it across the border from Canada, huh?!)

That color was a little too local. But last year I stayed at a place just up the street. Very nice. Local color was just right. The lesson is local color != dive.

Well did the vote come in??Bobs' Bon Inn or the Treasure Island or the Best Western??We need to make a choice and book a room. There will be four of us,so I am willing to share a room witk someone as It seems 2 beds are available in most places($67-$79)..so we need 2 rooms???Maybe a roll-away for Bobs' cabin rental($125)..we can flip a coin and odd man out for the roll away, the couch??OR perhaps senior picks first? The oldest rider in the Kootneys?Someone needs to step up to the plate and make a decision for us(not me..I quit making committments after 3 divorces!)

I'm kinda liking Bob Bob Inn. I didn't notice the cabin rental, but I like that too. I'm okay with a roll away, or sharing a room (not a bed). I'll make the reservations if we are all in.

I'm in. I don't fit on most couches and could possibly over-stress the frame on a roll away. As long as my roomy doesn't mind my CPAP. It's not that loud. We're talking about Kanab, right?

Yes we are talking Kanab only..perhaps both "Z" and you with your c-paps could share the bedroom and Brent and I the living room. When making reservation make sure they have a roll-away for the 4 of us.As soon as "Z" chats in,we can make this a deal.

As long as the bedroom has two queensize beds. I don't think one would survive me and Z sharing...

I'll step in and say it, youz are wusses. 4 to a room is the only way to go. Bring a bedroll and live on the cheap (and the floor).

I'll be booking a room for three nights at the Sierra Inn in for 4. 2 queen beds with a frig and a stove. Not that we'll use the stove but the fridge will get used. Heck, breakfast is the way to wake everyone up. So eggs grits and bacon are on the menu each morning. Y'all ought to knock on the door and try some of them thar grits...

Now this is not to call Freedom a wuss, yeah I know he is not rolling with you fellows. But being as he has a thermarest and gave me the bed last September I'd say he is the man!
