Too much popping on decel is lean pilot and if you are already 3 turns out then you should probably go up one size and re-adjust. That being said a certain amount of popping is to be expected with open pipes so don't try and eliminate it all together or you are then probably rich. Too much popping can also be caused by an exhaust leak.

EDIT: I supposed I should add that the K&N with open exhaust you should probably increase jet size. The K&N pod alone isn't that much with restrictive exhaust, you cab only take in as much a/f as you can let back out as exhaust.
