Removing the snorkel and putting in the Polaris Bellmouth is a minor modification that you can't even see or tell when the bike is assembled. Rejetting shouldn't cause a problem either.

Now if you go with the big bore upgrade or replace the airbox with a Freak upgrade, then that might attract the interest of the insurance people.

Of course, I'm not really sure what happens in the UK. I'm sure some of your fellow countrymen will chime in with some much useful information/advice.
