I know what you mean about the vibration factor of these Guzzi, Ade.
About 6 or 7 years ago when I took my BA in for its first valve adjustment, Matt Capri the owner of South Bay Triumph who was also selling Moto Guzzis out of his dealership at the time, loaned me a Guzzi V11 Sport to use for a day or so while they were performing the aforementioned work on my BA.
I always had had a soft-spot in my heart for Guzzis, and so I was really looking forward to this chance to get to know this Italian beauty.
However, the next afternoon as I returned on the V11 to pick up my BA, I came to the realization that my hope for owning a Guzzi some day didn't quite live up to the idealized picture of it which I had formed over the years. Yep, like yourself, I had found that the V11 shook as much or worse than any Harley I had ever ridden. In fact, while waiting at a red-lighted intersection the "head-shake" it had was so pronounced that if you'd put it neutral and take you hands off the bars, it felt as if the forks would start to turn on their own to one side or the other.
(...though even with that said, I still seem to have that "soft-spot" for 'em somehow...might be all that "character" they exude!)
