Hi Ed
I had a test R3 a few times before buying.
I knew I was going to have one, I just had to convince the insurance companies!

I tried an R3 touring. Didn't like it as much as a standard R3.

I hear tell that there is a new 1200cc (possibly called) Trophy coming out and the engine is to be used in a bigger 'adventure' Tiger - the 800 (800XC) but bigger.
The 1050 Tiger will be kept as a general purpose bike.

I too still have my America and it just feels so small and slow now after having a new Sprint ST for 2 years and then the R3 for 2.5 years.

I was reluctant to get a 1050cc Tiger if they are bringing a bigger one out later but I hear that the 1200cc version will be an 'adventure' type (to take on the BMW GS) and won't just be a bigger 1050cc Tiger.
I'm not into the adventure thing. I just want something that's comfy and quick.
BTW, Wendy will have the same issues as Vicki ... I'll go and look to see if they do a retractable step ladder in the accessories section
