Went for a longish ride on the weekend and spent around 6 hours (with a couple of half hour breaks) in the saddle and lost all sensation around hour 2.

Thing is though once the numb bum sets in, it only lasts a wee while then you forget about it and if you can push through it goes away. It wasn't so bad that it made me want to stop riding.

Of course you can add more padding to the seat but then you lose the low profile look, so I reckon like most problems you just have to look at it from a different angle.

Why not get a bit of padding added to the leathers instead (stick a bit of padding in temporary) to see if it makes a difference and if you come off it will provide a bit of cushion anyway.

As for spending money on the bike- Yeah, I was determined to leave as stock and in less than 6 months I have a bobbed fender to fit, speedo in the tank console, t-bars, new seat and looking to lower the back end, powder coat the forks and respray the bike.

Would like to hard tail it and put a fat tyre on the back but I think if I go down that path I should just sell it and get an old cheap one to destroy.
