It was our very own Ed (OldRoadie) who convinced me to wear earplugs when riding when he said ("If I don't hear, I don't work.") I have been very glad about that as they make a huge difference in how I feel after a long ride. I lost enough of my higher end hearing in the USAF when I was young and proud.
