Now they say 1-3" after 9:00 tonight, ending probably before daylight.
It will be cold enough to keep any of it from melting for a while.
I doubt that this would "shut down" many cities/communities that deal with this routinely, but you would be amazed at how many businesses will be closed here tomorrow, and those that aren't closed will have high absentee rates as employees call in.
My guess is that the snow & ice will be minimal, and the whole city will be taking a Holiday, regardless.
