When I was looking for a replacement for my full face helmet, I also looked at modular helmets. My main reason for a full face helmet is for use when riding my Tiger (Ryan also has a Tiger). If anyone has ridden a Tiger they would know that a full face helmet is not an option, but a requirement (all the air hits you between your eyes and forehead). After looking for a while I came to the conclusion that a modular helmet wouldn't be the best choice due to several factors like noise, airflow & weight. I ended up getting a Shoei X-Eleven full face helmet, which at the time was rated best for noise, airflow, weight & aerodynamics. With that said I still have to wear ear plugs, because at 80MPH the wind noise is still very loud, and would have been unbearable with a modular helmet.
