I also think the venting works very well on mine.I only experiance a bit of fogging til the helmet equalizes temps with the outside air.I have not ridden with mine in warm temps yet. I bought the irridium gold replacement lens as well and use that for even night riding as its not too dark but in conjunction with the inner shade it is even good for riding directly into the sun.BTW mine is the sy max 2 as well.
