My 2005 Speedmaster has the rev limiter kick in at 7500rpm. It really kicks in,no warning, no mercy. Just like somebody hits the kill switch. To me it's dangerous especially if you are passing somebody and the limiter kicks in.
And this happened to me twice, when I spoke to Triumph they said " maybe you have bought the wrong bike, its a cruiser " LOL.
Big bore kit and procom igniter set to 8500 rpm and I never worry about it now.
