On a related note..., last year, north of me in Iowa, a 21 year old guy drove around some safety cones dividing a construction zone. Drunk. He killed four guys on four bikes, that's FOUR AT ONCE! His family says he feels terrible. I would hope so. I wouldn't want that on my conscience!

I have to agree with Ron's POV, this situation was avoidable. Logic would dictate, pull over and let him go 'cause he's gonna cause an accident. Logic... not who has what rights, or who's a moron and who's not... logic.

Keith, in an ideal world and with good people what you say is true. However and saddly we live in a very jaded world full of narcasistic morons who will attempt to justify their actions insteed of owning the responsibility.
Granted the motorcyclists probably needed immediate attention that takes priority over the retarded cagers punishment. A punishment that should be sevier and exacted in a timely manner not months later in court, and not some reckless indangerment charge either. Attempted manslaughter or murder. However I am not a big fan of the penal system its not fast and it creates "repeat offenders" rather than making them want to quit breaking the law.

HAHAHA, Dwight I know. I am not always right, but I am always honest.
This is way to serious to be settled with an old school a$$ whoopin. Those bikers are injured likely life changing injuries.

Granted, I dont believe all matters are a matter for courts some, two men can handle between themselves if they have the fortitude to handle it. (Most dont anymore.)
You see there is an inhierant problem with handing out a$$ whoopins. Most people dont just take it like your trying to hand them money. They tend to fight back and you maybe the one who takes the whoopin.

Ooops when I saw it first I was obviously swayed by the screen in front of the camera.

Agreed it’s always best to let one of these pee brains by if possible.

It's quite possible the riders were looking for an area to move over but this azzwipe was in too much of a hurry. I mean he's got somewhere to be, ya know. Get outta my way.

If you watch the clip again you'll see there is a rock wall on the right shoulder which left no room to move over.
Again I would like to see the complete tape as I'm betting he was weaving in and out passing the riders on every occasion.
Who’s right who’s wrong? I believe logic answers that question. I just hope the driver is tied up in the court system for the next 12 years.

one of the few times that laying the bike down (what the biker in the oncoming lane did) seems like a not the worst idea in the world (although I suppose if it had been an SUV with more ground clearance he might have ended up under it).

aside to mikemm03, Ron and others. Your point is maybe valid but they'd have been encouraging the idiot to pass on a double yellow. That was just an ugly mix of bikes and cars - the only way to win that game is not to play (that place, that day, that time).

I had to re-watch it a couple times. It definitely leans.

Just noticed there is a passenger in the front seat of the car that tries to force their door open onto the downed bike but gives up on that idea.

Everytime I watch this thing just makes me want to inflict serious bodily harm to that driver. I am normally a peace loving guy.
