96 is a hell of a run at it, but in the end the overall mortality rate is still 100% (even with exercise and clean living)

Goerge Burns out lived him, 3 cigars a day and enough cogniac to float a battleship away. It just goes to show Eat Healthy, excercise and die anyway as some one signature on here says. still 96 is a good run.

Well yeah, but it took him a long time. He was around 96 or so.

it aint even about how long you live, its about how many "TRUE!!" friends you leave behind. i remember watching him when i was just a wee small lad doing his excersize program when we only had 2 stations to watch. i hate when somebody like that passes, it tends to remind me how old i am getting
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

I used to watch him with my grandmother. She had polio and was in a wheelchair. I still have the exercise band she used to exercise along with him. She died in 1966. I hadn't thought about him in years until he started selling those juicers on late night TV. Each time I'd see him, it made me think of Gramma. RIP Jack, you left your mark.

How well you live can be defined many ways. Steve Erwin live his life well just not long. I would say many people who died young live what life they lived well, as well as many who lived long.

As much as he exercized, he should have lived to be 150! Still, a good long run.

My favorite - LaLanne pulling the train with his teeth He had a strong message about refined sugar as a detriment to health, long before it was a popular notion. Turns out he was right. Take one can of soda - 28 grams of sugar. Now if you were to pour 28 grams of sugar into a sandwich baggie, you'd have around 2 or 3 fingers of sugar in there, and don't ask me how I would know that.
