Buddy of mine had one similar to this but it had a set of wheelie bars on the back. "he was a rich"
You could ride all day popping a wheelie.

A bike like this one was my first bike (except for a number of 50cc bikes)

Honda CBX 550 F2

It was a fun bike but waaaaay to small for my 186cm length

Like old girl friends, I'd like to have them all back, but I'm too old for that (and poor). I would probably kept them all if I could have found a loan officer bad at math.

I forgot to list the early 70s 250cc Bultaco and Penton. Fun bikes, but I can even remember what year models they were. Like to have the 61 and 63 bonnies back, would love to have the Ossa MAR trials back. The Ossa was stolen, I probably never would have sold it.

It's interesting, In 20 or 30 years I wonder how many will regret selling their Am/Speedies. If you want no regrets never sell a Triumph or a gun.

By the looks of the picture I'd place it at circa '69 or so. Am I close?

Good stuff , my 66 Bonnie never had a side stand and I used to lean the handle bars on lamp posts or the foot peg on the kerb

Now your showin' your age
I just had a thought ... If you had the 69 trumpy in 71 that means it was only two years old , nearly brand new ... no wonder you say you loved that bike . Flash new machine and all

Just the opposite mate it was in the worst condition of any of the 3 meridians Bonnie's i had , i can not remember the milage but it was just not looked after at all
Paid $200 for it and rode around until early 73 and got $400 trade in on a new Trident
The guy that owned it was not even living there when i bought , his father said "you bet it is for sale "
The money changed hands and away i went , got my licence about 6 months later
