Another consideration is that different oils can actually rob power noticably ! I will of course get flamed for this by some, but i mentioned this at RAT and found a few who agreed having experienced the same thing. I tried that valvoline bike oil thats been discussed here and for the next few days or a week my bike was running slower than usual. Accelleration was quite noticable lessened and felt as tho i'd lost what i had gained getting the jetting right. I was unhappy with the bike's performance for the 1st time since i nailed the jetting after modding the airbox. At first i thought something was wrong till it hit me the oil could be to blame. So i took the $ hit and put the Mobil 1 V twin stuff back in and sure enough my bike was back ! I can only attribute it to the valvoline i *think* (or is it?)being dino oil and not as slick as synthetic. But whatever it was, i was shocked it could make as much difference as it did. So i'm sticking with V twin which i highly suspect is the same oil as the mobil one thats in the triumph branded bottles.
