Today a woman rear ended my daughter at a stop light. My daughter was in her self-purchased "redneck truck". My daughter is a little sore, but will be fine. Here is the auto tally... showing the difference that build quality makes.

The Loser (note the puddle of coolant from the punctured radiator.

This dimple is the damage to the redneck truck...

And the Winner is:

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Glad your daughter is okay... just hope she doesn't suffer from whiplash. Oh, glad the truck's okay too!

Having recently been on the receiving end of a "caging" glad to hear your daughter is ok.

man, thats a pretty HUGE DENT....hope they dont total it...haha

I wish my "truck vs. car" accident happened like that.

I rear ended a Neon in my GMC Sierra, totaled my truck, the neon had a messed up tailpipe. Even the rear bumper on the neon was still intact, just moved up a little.

Those neons have high round rear ends...(haha)...The car skipped up over my front bumper and put my radiator on top of my engine, and my buddies head broke my windshield. Couldnt believe the neon was still running afterwards, they towed it just to be safe..haha

I remember when I was a kid my dad had an old Suburban, got rear ended by a Mustang, the results were similar. He never did bother getting rid of the blue paint on the rear bumper.

Thom, glad to hear everyone is ok. I dont think I've ever come across a redneck truck without a bumper ding.
It's perfect !

Chrome bumper? Redneck? Try a pipe bumper, one that has air fittings on it. That would be more fitting the genre.

Thom, Glad your daughter and her truck came out with only beauty marks.

Get the Chevy pilot an Olds sticker for the door just under where she would hang her arm out the window in that tuff 'ole redneck truck , sorta like a P-51 Mustang with the "rising sun" kills.

Captain Williams .

Glad she's OK .

I called my daughter and whilst talking , I heard the loud God-awful dreaded crash as someone rearended her as she was turning left , they were going 60 + and the impact knocked her across 2 lanes into the oncoming traffic . Helpless feeling when all you can hear is crashing , squealing tires and a whimpers as bystanders asking if she's OK , then sirens and then silence .

She's OK , at fault driver had no D/L or insurance and tried to leave the scene . It's a quantum leap of faith to send our kids out .

I drive a '85 Ford F 150 with a large towing ball mounted on the rear trailer mount. It really can take a hit and deliver some damage.

I live in a tin trailer park for seniors only. Now they let in younger people for an 80/20 mix. Nobody every asked my permission to do that. In either case my neighbor across the road in a zip headed 40 years old idiot who does not work and sips beer all day long whilst being supported by his fat and ugly girl friend who is just happy to have a man in her life.

She is so ugly and fat that I would expect most men to cross the street to avoid her. Anway this idiot likes to park his tiny Suzuki Samurai Warrior POS in front of his trailer in violation of the park rules most of time. I expect he does this so as to allow his FUG (fat ugly gal) to park her ride in the drive and not disturb his manly work.

After many confrontations and such with the idiot about the parking and complaints to the management of the trailer park nothing has ever been done about this.

The problem is that my old Ford has an engine that is prone to stalling when first started and this is made worse by having to back up and make tight turns to avoid his truck/car/pos.

One day my truck stalled and required restarting 14 times before I could pull away from my drive because his POS was parked in a perfect blocking position in front of his trailer. On the next day during the 9th restart because of his truck my battery died and I about had a heart attack pushing the truck back into my drive.

On the 3rd day I got the motor running and I jammed it into reverse and backed up without stalling finally but during this manaeuver I erred and impaled the side door of his little POS onto the trailer hitch ball on the middle of my bumper.

I then kicked myself in the rear and drove off with his tiny POS impaled on the trailer ball and ripping rubber offa his tires whilst I made my way down the street.

At the end of the street the nose of truck went down and the back end went up and the POS fell offa my trailer hitch with a large crash.

I left it there and went about my business. I returned a few hours later and I was confronted by the village idiot.

He claimed that I had damaged his car. It told him to prove it. Were there any witnesses? (None because everybody in the trailer park hated his guts....his dog died and he waited three days until it stunk so bad...he dug a hole in the back yard and buried the dog....during that excavation he cut the power line to the trailer park and everybody lost their power for 2 days) I told him that I do not recall hitting his POS and showed him the undamaged rear portion of my truck. I had scraped offa the paint from the ball before returning home. He was still ranting and raving and I ignored him. I told him to sue me in court and when he made a move towards me (him being 6'5" and 280...me being 68,5'8" and in bad health) I put my hand on the butt of my .44 Special revolver and asked him to "Make my day". He punked out and walked away. He had to buy two tires and rims and left the door with the large hole in it. However he no longer parks illegally in front of his trailer.

Some people take a long time to learn lessons.
